Our New Christian-J gets "Babitized!"

J has been asking questions about salvation and baptism for at least a year now and recently asked to visit with Pastor John.  I made an appointment and we sat down to visit with him Monday-before-last.

(after quite a bit of chit chat)
Pastor John:  Now J, why are you here today?
J:  To talk about getting babitized.

We went from there, making sure J understood the sacrifice Jesus made for all of us as well as the commitment he was making.

J is quite the thinker and it was a privilege listening to his conversation with Pastor John.

We are beyond thrilled and thankful for his tender heart and God's work in his life thus far.

He wanted to get "babitized" right away, so last Sunday it was!

The boy was ecstatic!
And so were we.  :)
And, bonus, Joan, Charlie, and Aunt Margaret were in town and came to see J's baptism before heading to the airport.  :)  It was SO special to have them there!
Kaydie and Grandmama were there, too, and due to lack of planning, we have no photos of the actual baptism, but we do have 3 different videos.  Oops!  Bet we can get a still frame of the video for a pic.

There are so many people who have poured into J from the time he was a tiny baby.  To his Bible class teachers at A&M Church:  Each of you played a HUGE role in his spiritual development and we appreciate you more than you know.  Also, our family and friends have been crucial in guiding and supporting us and our kiddos.  We are blessed by all of you!

We're so happy for J and excited about watching him grow in his faith.  God is good!
