Seaside '18

Our first vacation to Seaside, FL this summer was absolutely fabulous!  Papa & Honey put us up in a very nice condo for the first half of our vacation and then we spent several more days at another condo for our family vacation.

We hadn't been to the beach with kids since J was 3 and L was 1.5 so we were glad to have pros with us to show us the ropes.  Papa and Honey arrived several days before the kids and I did and we followed their lead on all things beach.

We'd get up and have breakfast at our condo, Papa would pick us up in his truck and take us to the beach where they'd rented chairs and umbrellas, we'd play, have a picnic lunch, play some more, then head back to the condo for a dip in the pool and maybe a nap.

Luckily for us, Uncle Kenny joined us and SK sure did take a liking to him.  Pretty sure the feeling was mutual and having help with SK definitely took a load off of me.
Many a sand castle was built.
Post beach pool time!

The pool was shaded all afternoon which was just perfect.
See?!  :)
Hots arrived LATE Thursday night but was up for fishing the next morning.
My guys  :)

One of my favorite things in addition to being with family was that I didn't cook one single night (out of 10, I think).  This was at one of the outdoor areas where they had food trucks.
After Papa & Honey left we relocated down the beach a ways.  Or was it up?  This place was right across the street from the Hub which had a movie each night and various dining options. It was also farther from the beach access but came with a souped up golf cart on which we put many miles.

All three kids LOVED the golf cart.  Hots did, too-Ha!
Loaded up and ready for the beach!

Burying Daddy
It was so weird seeing his face with no body.  Yikes.

J wanted a turn, too!
Then L.
SK thought she wanted a turn, but it was not for her.  I understand, SK!

Wait for it...
Ahhhhahahahahahah!
Hots caught a crab. :)
Even the littlest pulls her own weight.  (Okay, not usually.)

Some most days we stopped off on the golf cart for ice cream on our way home from the beach.  (But we were too busy eating our ice cream before it melted to get any pics of that!)

These three sure do make my heart happy.  :)

Love my man!

Quite possibly my favorite series of photos (these next three)

Do those capture J or what?

On the way home from FL we stopped in NOLA (for the first and hopefully the last time).  The aquarium was a blast, but it was a strange experience other than that.
It was a pretty perfect vacation; fun time with Papa and Honey (& Uncle Kenny!), followed by some much needed family time in a beautiful place.  We will be back!
