Last night was Family Reading Night at the boys' school. We sat through two different readings where teachers read a book to the students and then the students could take an AR test on them.
At the second reading the story was set at a school where a new student arrived in a limousine, much to the other students' amazement, as well as to our kids' who were listening.
"He's rich!" said several of the listeners.
The story went on with the kids being invited to a party at the new kid's house, which was a mansion. There was also a maid and a swimming pool.
"He was really rich!" they said after hearing this.
"Or his parents have borrowed a lot of money," added Jack matter-of-factly.
