We've been LOVING this beautiful weather!
Our new dirt pile is still keeping us busy and continues to provide hours of entertainment. (We'll go ahead and work that into next year's budget. And the next.)
It's even more fun when Kaydie comes to play.
When Kaydie comes over to play, she comes over to play!
L can't contain his excitement!
But, we're used to Super Cool grandmothers in this family. :)
We've also been taking advantage of the fierce winds here lately with some kite action.
Kite + Dirt Pile = Twice the Fun
Action shot of L
Could he be any cuter? No. Absolutely not.
(I'm singing. Loudly.)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Heroes in a Half Shell,
Turtle Power!
Who's that skinny guy in the background??? ;)
Both boys did really well flying their kites.
Aunt Sarah came to town so the boys gave her the greeting of highest honor which usually involves a sword fight and always involves lots of yelling.
Kaydie's an accomplished fencer (or whatever you call a sword-fighter).
After our big rain (one and a half inches, thank you very much) we had to try out our new rain boots.
L had fun at first, then just stood there while J ran circles around him. (See the next few pics.)
In case you wondered if I edit my own photos-and I'm sure you have-here is the evidence. Sorry about your face, dude. :/
It was bound to happen. I like how L looks like he's reared back laughing, like a good brother should.
Tonight we had supper outside and then the boys played in the water; something they've been begging to do for the last month or so. Tonight we relented. After all, it was 80 degrees, and between the two of us we couldn't come up with any good reason to say no.
Like all good big brothers, J "helped" L fill his watering can by spraying him down while making sure a little trickle from the hose actually did go into the can. "But I am giving him water in his can, Momma."
Super Cute :)
Was 80 degrees. When they turned on the water hose. Then the sun started to go down and somebody got COLD.
Nothing a warm bath didn't fix. :) We hope you are enjoying this weather, too!
