The Tiniest Chicken Egg

"I think we have a new layer," Hots said as he held up the tiniest chicken egg I'd ever seen.
So cute!  And speckles!

Here's the proud layer.  We call her #7.  We got her and #8 a few months after the original six (all of whom have real names in case I haven't mentioned that previously).
Survival or the fittest struck last week and #8 was weeded out when she flew over the chain link fence and into the dog pen.  Where the dogs have always been.  In clear view.  Probably a good idea not to name future additions to our flock.
