Dear Sweet Jack,
We can hardly believe you are 2 years old today. You have filled the past 2 years with much joy and have certainly kept us laughing! You are a sweet, easy going (most of the time) little boy. And busy. We can't forget that. :)
Tractors are still your favorite things-reading about them, 'driving' Mr. Peters' tractor and the Bobcat that was left in our yard by the landscaping crew, pointing at them when we're on the road, and talking about them while you play with your toy tractors. We think you will love riding your own tractor all over the yard and are so excited to see your reaction when you first see it. One of the many joys of parenting is seeing the world through your eyes.
You call Luke "Gukus" and are so sweet to him. First thing in the morning you ask to see "Gukus" and smile so big when you find him. He can always count on you to put his paci back in. And, you are so generous; sharing regularly with him. Sunday morning you even gave him an animal cracker and didn't understand when I grabbed him up and frantically began digging it out of his mouth.
You surprised us by singing your ABCs when we didn't know you knew them. Counting to 10 is old news and you often sing one of the many songs you've memorized (Father Abraham, Jesus Loves Me , & Twinkle Twinkle Little Star are your top 3 as of right now) in the sweetest little 2-year-old voice. You also surprised us today with your own rendition of Happy Birthday (to meeee), which you sang several times thoughout the evening. We LOVE to hear you sing! You are also quite the dancer and will stop what you are doing to bust a move to any kind of music.
Mowing with Daddy is very serious business and you are certain he cannot do it without your help. You are happy to play in your sandbox as long as the mower is not running and are always up for driving Daddy's truck.
What a blessing you are to our family, sweet boy. We love you so very much!
Much Love,
Daddy and Momma
Only because it is your birthday...and because you said, "please". :)
