Summer Fun

During this heat wave/drought we have spent A LOT of time outside, usually during the hottest part of the day. This week in CS we've beat the previous high temp. record of 102 (set back in 1933) by at least 2 degrees and Jack doesn't seem to mind the heat at all. In fact, the last few days I have been the one enjoying his alligator pool (Just my feet, but it does keep me cool.) while he roams around the yard getting dirty and finding 'treasures.' He periodically takes a quick dip and is off again. Man, can that boy get filthy!

Jack and his friend, Davis, split time between our alligator pool, Davis' sprinkler, and the the public pool near our house.

About two weeks ago Mom, Jack, and I went to visit my grandparents in South Texas. (Think Mexico...almost, anyway.)

The day we arrived it was a sweltering 106. Now, that was before we were 'used' to super hot temperatures, but Jack didn't miss a beat. My grandparents had a pool waiting and Jack was suited up and in the pool within 30 min. of our arrival. Thanks Grandmama and Grandpapa!

All a boy needs is a rock and some water!

Kung-fu baby!
