Since Hots' shoulder surgery was scheduled for the Wednesday following Thanksgiving and we are always pretty whipped by the time people head home that Saturday, I decided that this year we would set up our Christmas tree in advance. We would hold off on the decorations until after Thanksgiving, but having the tree up would take a load off of me while tending to my post surgical husband.
After taking a look in the attic (which is tiny) Hots came down and asked where I thought the tree could be and then it took us a good five minutes of working together to remember we gave it away last year because one of us thought that a good idea since some of the lights were out. (The other party saw no reason why we couldn't go old school and actually wrap lights around it, but whatever.)
The kids were ready for bed and we had that evening open so we all headed to Lowe's, then Home Depot, then back to Lowe's, pjs and all!
Found one!A little fence work before he went under the knife, too, with a cute ranch hand. :)
